A lecture was done about the Research unit (UMR) "Ecobiop" by Mr Prevost (Director of INRA institute, located in Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, a little town very next from our city). He explained to the pupils salmons' life and how scientists sudy this fish (and other ones) in the Nivelle River basin. After this very instructive speech, we move to the river to see the trap and fish ladder at Uxondoa dam. A little report is on line (in French) in Lycée Ravel's website. Our students will produce about this activity a video (and english comments) in a couple of weeks.
We had a little accident with the autobus early, on the road to the first visit: Thanks to Mr Bard and Chantaco restaurant! Instead of waiting outside or in the vehicle, we enjoyed a peaceful stop at the Golf club, with coffee and sweets. Thanks also to Mr Rousseau who helped ud to make the visit of Bayonne's cathedral and gave us a little concert in the afternoon.
